There are two different types of Ragnarok Online accounts. Much like most MMORPGs that offer free trials, there are Ragnarok accounts that have limited access due to free trials and others that pay a monthly fee. If you’re like most people that have never played Ragnarok Online then you’ll probably get the free account before you decide you want to buy the game. Of course if your friends play and you are just a super large fan before you’ve even played it then you can dive right into buying yourself a full subscription and get your Ragnarok Online account up and running right away.
Once you have your RO account set you will want to start making characters. If you have a free Ragnarok account you can only make up to three characters, but you can always delete some and try other characters. Once you’ve made your characters you’ll have to level up your characters to job level 10 before you can choose a job. You will be given a very good tutorial on what types of jobs you can choose, and how to do combat and all other types of things in the game.
You can spend time in the tutorial simply leveling up to job level 10, since you have the choice of doing hard or easy monsters. This lets you get the feel for your RO account and how to play. You don’t even have to do the tutorial; you can just jump right into playing the game if you want. What you do with your Ragnarok Online account is of course up to you, but you are given many different choices on how to level it up and what types of characters you want to have on it.
